YOUR SAFE PLACE
to Cheryl Casey Clark

A town crier walked Jericho's streets shouting news of Egyptian slaves;
Led by Moses, delivered by God, sustained by only One that saves.

Forty years God had cared for them all in the desolate wilderness;
Soon they would cross the Jordan and know prosperity and happiness.

Joshua the slaves new leader sent men ahead into Jericho;
To watch, to scout, and to discover the land promised them long ago.

The two spies were welcomed by Rahab.  She opened her door, let them in;
Keeping their secret, she hid the two protecting them from the king's men.

Rahab the harlot begged for mercy,
"Save my family. I saved you."
They replied, "When we take this city hang this red rope there in plain view.

Gather your loved ones together here you'll be safe if you don't show your face;
God's army will know you are friendly and they will pass by your safe place."

About:
RAHAB
Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and
thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee.   JOSHUA 2:18 KJV
