WHY

God had called He said, "Abraham?",
The old man answered, "Here I am!"
God spoke again, "Your only son
Will be sacrificed like a lamb."
So during the early morning
Abraham saddled his donkey;
Soon two would climb a great mountain,
The two would be his son and he.
Abraham cut just enough wood,
He'd sacrifice and he would praise;
Two servants accompanied him,
Journeyed by his side three long days.
The miracle son God gave him--
Followed Abraham faithfully;
Into the Land of Moriah
To the place only God could see.
Abraham's faith was tested there
On a mountain that touched the sky.
Father Abraham was blessed much
'Cause he never once asked why.
