WHAT THE LORD SAYS DO
to Jim Barger and Ron Clark

Remember our day sweetheart,
We called it our happiest;
I know when we said our vows,
Our commitment would be blest.
I felt a holy presence
And I just knew what I knew—
The Lord stood by us as we
Both did what the Lord says do.
Every challenge we engaged,
That came before a great test—
Caught us up in a blessing,
After the trouble would crest.
Know in your heart, I love you
Each day more than yesterday;
Your love caused my love to grow
And nothing got in its way.
Heaven is a peaceful place
Filled with angels and saved souls;
God promised to take us there
I’m one for whom the bell tolls.
Honey, the Lord’s calling me—
So I can’t stay here with you—
Together again we need
To do what the Lord says do.
