Before your time was nothing:
No life, no air, no sea, and no land,
Forever belonged to God--
He held it in the palm of His hand.
So He invented heaven.
It's His home. It's designed to please Him!
He left the rest unfinished,
Calling that dark place the earth and sea.
This is how it all began
Until He threw a bright ball of light;
A glow lit up the shadows
Creating light for day, dark for night.
He poured creatures into seas,
Set animals down under the sky;
Finished His perfect plan with
All things that creep and all things that fly.
Making living things was fun,
He was having the time of His life
Thinking up things He could make,
That's the day He gave Adam a wife.
Everything belonged to Him.
He gave it all to you. You've been blessed!
His creations were priceless
He said, and took a day off to rest.
