| AFTER this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. REVELATION 4:1 KJV | |||||||||||||||
THE OLD ONE'S EYES to Tim Hults Shortly after I turned twenty four, An old one mentioned to me; A devine vision had been perceived, It involved my family. A mighty preacher of intense words, Would rise up for all to see; That powerful, moving speaker was, Closely related to me. Time passed and I studied everyone, Wondering who it could be; Not one had their eyes on a pulpit, All passed up the ministry. Remembering the old one's vision, I waited, watched for a sign; Newborns aroused curiosity, Those grown seemed well defined. Trouble came. I whispered Jesus name, And that's when I realized; Words I wrote, came from the hand, of the Preacher, in the old one's eyes. Caryl Ramsdale Copyright©1999-2004 'tears in a bottle collection' |
