THIS SINNER'S PRAYER VI Number six [6] of the Tears in a Bottle Collection's Series of Sinner's Prayers. to Larry Craig God respects your right to make your own choices, right or wrong. He cannot make a new person of you until you make him captain of your ship. As you read this poem, ask The Lord God to show you how to have everlasting joy, happiness and peace. Not everyone will enter heaven, Some think they will live there—but they won’t; Only those who obey will go there; Some could change their choices—but they don’t. People say, Take me Lord, I know You, I’ve read and heard Your word preached for years; I know You command my world and Yours, In the end, you’ll wipe away my tears. Others cry, I tried to do my best, But living isn’t an easy task; People and things can manipulate, I’m sorry now that I put You last. A few folks don’t want to be bothered, They have been weighed down with a big lie; Robbed of will—believing it’s to late To change their outcome—before they die. Tell me what you want me to do Lord— When you look into my heart you’ll see; I could not bear to hear you saying, I never knew you; depart from me. LORD: I have a lot of work to do, I haven’t always been kind and fair; But I’m willing to change—show me how, Dry my tears Lord—hear this sinner’s prayer. Remember me in heaven LORD, Amen and Amen!
