| Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. PSALM 116:15 KJV | |||||||||||||||||||||
THIS SINNER'S PRAYER IV Number four [4] of the Tears in a Bottle Collection's Series of Sinner's Prayers. To Howard Skidmore God respects your right to make your own choices, right or wrong. He cannot make a new person of you until you make him captain of your ship. As you read this poem, ask The Lord God to show you how to have everlasting joy, happiness and peace. You know LORD for a real long time I thought we all faced death alone— Now I see family sends us And our angels escort us home. It’s our family tradition To circle, hold hands, sing and pray Loved ones all the way to heaven Then “Bye for now…” is what we say. Our angels know when You call us, The sound of your voice moves them too— They gather—wait to deliver— Another precious soul to You. I know those angels minister To the family left behind With a quiet holy presence That brings a loved one peace of mind. Same angels that help us through life— That sees to our security— Will circle and surround us as We travel toward eternity. LORD I praise your name and thank you For all the tender loving care My final hours will bring ‘cause— No fear—will stop this sinner’s prayer. Quell all my fears LORD, Amen and Amen!
