| Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, truly this was the Son of God. MATTHEW 27:54 | |||||||||||||||||||||||
THE DEBT WE OWED to Jeannie Jackson There—at the foot of the cross, I saw light slipping away— Three hours passed in darkness While I stayed right there to pray. My quiet savior cried out, His loudest voice startled me; He was calling out to God From His cross made of a tree. My Lord cried out one more time Before He died on that cross— I went on talking to God About our face-to-face loss. The holy Temple veil ripped From its top to bottom end— Two pieces folded and fell, ‘Twas over now—‘twas the end. The real truth about His death— Historical events showed— As God looked down from above, His Son paid the debt we owed. © Copyright 1999-2007 Caryl Ramsdale. All rights reserved. The flowing blood of Jesus released the power of the last blood sacrifice — the great sacrifice. His blood covered His accuser’s sins, overlaid His executioner’s sins and concealed your sins from your Heavenly Father’s eyes. A Most Holy Jesus — the Lamb of God, died for man’s voluntary violation of the laws of God. |
