about:
OLD TESTAMENT
deliverance from sin
And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. LEVITICUS 1:4 KJV

LET IT BE
to Johann Adam Schleh

Wandering a steep hillside,
Does and bucks grazed peacefully;
Their upper lips touched woody shrubs
And rough tongues explored plants and trees.
Children tended the gentle herds
That wanted to stay together;
Goats were easy to watch over
In dry, wet or windy weather.
Clear, bright eyes meant a healthy flock—
Well goats drank much from water holes;
Droopy tails were not a good sign—
Hunched backs predicted more troubles.
When sin offerings were called for
Males without blemish were chosen;
And that precious blood sacrifice
Cleansed God’s offender of sin.
So God said sacrifice a goat—
Kill one; shed its life’s blood for me
Then place it on a stone altar—
Once consumed by fire let it be.

Sin is estrangement  from  God
and  man   has  trouble  dealing
with that separation.
So, God provided a way for man
To remove sins and to be at one
with Him—it's called atonement.
