about:
OLD TESTAMENT
anointing of the
first temple priests
And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, To be anointed therein, And to be consecrated in them. EXODUS 29:29 KJV

I AM THAT I AM
to Dr. Josiah Drawhorn, Th.D., D.Min., MCE.

The pouring of olive oil
Over his head—anointed
God’s chosen one to be—the
First temple priest appointed.
Underneath that dripping oil,
His holy crown curved around—
A turban of fine linen.
This priest stood on holy ground
In a woven garment with
An outer robe covering it—
A holy vest, breastplate and
Cloth belt custom-made to fit.
The holy man’s holy clothes,
Handsomely put together;
By skilled craftsmen of wisdom,
Showed this priest belonged to God.
Moses the prophet dressed him,
In clothes that honored his call;
To minister to people,
To stand in the gap for all.
Four more priests stood beside him,
Those men were anointed too;
They served as the Lord’s first priests,
Took needs to God for review.
Moses’ brother Aaron and
His four sons took a priest’s place—
Sharing God’s holy wisdom—
Honoring God’s human race.
Clothes of Aaron and his sons,
Marked by the blood of a lamb;
Showed that they were given by
One that said, “I AM that I AM!”
