KID FOX to Nancy Reitberger
Grandma used to rock in her chair— Read books—watch TV—and crochet; Until she was introduced to Rocking out the computer way. She surfs the net with cyber friends, Calls them her buddies—her roomies; She picked them up in game Chat Rooms— Doesn't know—one of them is me. She thinks I'm a little old man— That I'm harmless and loads of fun; I hang out with my granny's gang— Secretly watch over everyone. Last night they all met in bingo. One by one, they slipped out the door— Soon they returned incognito— With names not the same as before. Granny runs with entertainers That said they could bring a house down. Since I believed her retired friends, I bragged about them all over town. Tonight—I entered their room and Joined the fast chat in the Chat Box; Granny said, "Meet my grandson ya'll—he’s The roomie we love called Kid-Fox."
