| Through wisdom is a house builded; and by understanding it is established: and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. PROVERBS 24:3 & 4 KJV | ||||||||||||||||
ALL YOUR DAYS to Dr. K. Tom Casey Old red brick stacked stories high, Their color—library red; Typify worn schoolhouses, My aging mother once said. Three long blocks to that schoolhouse, With big doors facing the sun; ‘Twas where I learned the meanings Of...begin—began—begun. Our tall church on the corner, Had wide steps and heavy doors; It’s solid gray stone structure Surrounded dark wooden floors. I ran often to that place, Near where grandma lived alone; And listened to the meanings Of...regret—correct—atone. Across the street, a building With a painted storefront sign; Drew the old and young alike To it’s soda fountain line. Family and friends gathered There all week long and Sundays; Making souvenir meanings Of...live—laugh—love all your days. ©Copyright1999-2007 Caryl Ramsdale. All rights reserved. |
