OUR GOOD SHEPHERD BROTHER

"Hello", said the shepherd boy,
"Your babe's a wonder to see;
'Cause I'm told this little king,
One day will tend sheep like me.
Good shepherds protect their lambs,
Shield them from blemish and harm;
They carry lambs close to them,
Tucked safely under one arm.
These men near me are shepherds,
That keep watch over our herd;
Tonight we were in the field,
When the Lord God sent us word."
"Another shepherd's been born,"
An angel of the Lord said;
"He's wrapped tight in scraps of cloth,
Sleeping on a straw bed."
"We have come to welcome Him,"
He said to the child's mother;
"The Lord said we'd know Him 'cause,
He's our 'Good Shepherd' brother."
