ONE LITTLE PRAYER to James [Bud] Casey
Mosquitoes in the backyard, Fireflies for rings and things; An old dog out front on guard, and a white, creaky, porch swing. Remembering simple things, Will bring a grin to your face; Like making homemade ice cream, Whipping fudge and saying grace. Some favorites were heat lighning, During hot, summer weather; A dandelion puff wish, That would float like a feather. Perched high in an apple tree, Was a fun way to relax; Nothing beat chewing clover, Mint leaves or soft, canning wax. Really, really concentrate, See the Big Dipper up there; Hear the owl and whippoorwill, Smile and say one little prayer.
