NOW AND THEN to Charlotte Casey
There's a quiet place I go, When I'm feeling kinda low; I think back to yesterday, To the life I used to know. Back there I met some nice folks, That inspired my younger years; Thoughts of them stir memories, Make me cry I miss you tears. One of them taught me to pray, To swim slow without sinking; Others showed me how to live, How to mend a broken wing. A few moved on to God's house, Some stayed longer, stayed awhile; I'm thankful for the moments, We all shared that made us smile. Those folks lightened heavy-hearts, With reasons to try again; Preached faith, hope and charity, Said think of us now and then.
