MY MEMORY STORE to Ruby Casey Barger I have memories of you Throughout my memory store; When I'm really missing you I open its unlocked door. The room's passageway is clear, Inside there are many aisles; I've tagged every one by name And organized all the files. I'll take one out and show you, Let's look at this one called smile; See, here's a happy picture Right on the top of this pile. This file I marked no bother, And placed it way in the back; I dump my heartaches in there, They hangout with each wisecrack. I count memories by the rows, Sometimes even by the mile; But the ones I review the most Come from our family file. By Caryl Ramsdale Copyright©1999-2004 'tears in a bottle collection' |
