LORD I'M WORTHY

He felt a criminal's shame,
Some stared, some spit in His face;
Degraded, Jesus suffered
Embarrassment and disgrace.
Disabled, He stumbled, fell,
His muscles ached, they grew weak;
The loss of blood took it's toll,
He remained humble and meek.
Mental anguish engaged Him,
He felt tormented and sad;
Cursed, afflicted and helpless,
Briefly saw Himself as bad.
He got a glimpse of your pain,
When He was declared guilty;
Punished for telling the truth,
He endured so you could see.
What perfect obedience,
Can do for you and for me;
Suffering brings you to the cross,
Here I am Lord, I'm worthy.
