I PROMISE
to Emily Barger
God is the Father of all
And lives in heaven above;
He made a special promise,
Sealed it with infinite love.
God fashioned a perfect plan,
'Twas designed with all in mind;
Then He drew a detailed map,
Directing all to the find.
Man wrote it all down had it
Printed on thin, white pages;
The book's known by it's cover,
Been handed down for ages.
You can trust God's written word,
He gave His word of honor;
Bound by pledge, it matters not
If you're rich or if you're poor.
Anyone can seek God's treasure,
It's there, you won't have to guess;
"I will give you peace", God said,
"You can count on me. I promise."
