Twelve apostles stood together
But, they were different men then;
Change occurred after Jesus spoke
And God took His Son to heaven.
After the Lord died on the cross,
He showed himself to those twelve men;
Proved to them that He was alive—
These are some words that were spoken.
The Holy One of Israel,
Knows the day, the date, the season;
The Father has authority
To decide the time, the reason.
The Spirit of God will be yours—
He's eternal, free and holy;
He's the Power of the Highest,
Just one part of the Trinity.
When the Holy Ghost comes to you,
You will receive mighty power;
See and do things differently,
Know this person's there any hour.
His peaceful presence will comfort
And when you don't feel qualified;
Remember He's the promised gift
God sent to you when His Son died.
Tell everyone, be my witness,
Tell my story, tell what occurred;
"Tell every part of the world,"
Was recorded as His last word.
