GOD'S NOT READY YET

God created breathtaking views full of natural splendor;
And some unspoiled picturesque scenes rising from this world’s vast floor.
Private panoramic retreats of spectacular views draw men;
To mountains faced with steep rock where some return time and again.

My son was standing on the edge when nobody else was around;
Suddenly he lost his balance, expecting to fall to the ground.
He tells about the helpless feel of leaning into a fall—but then—
He felt a hand on his shoulder, pulling him back to where he’d been.

My uncle stepped in a deep hole—river fishing and shares his fear;
Treacherous water captured him, filled up his rubber wading gear.
Teary eyed he tells—a swimmer just mysteriously appeared—
This young champion athlete kept him from the drowning he feared.

My Grandma talked of a blind horse that got out of hand in her barn;
It bucked about kicking the air, about to do somebody harm.
My mother was her little girl, they were there together that day;
That old horse took a tragic fall when the manger got in the way.

As I heard these story tellers, I noticed they all were in awe;
Of their fate and the conclusion anyone could easily draw.
The tales are true—angels are too, I’ve read how they can intervene;
If God’s not ready yet because one’s purpose remains to be seen.

So when God hands you miracles—don't say they're good luck chance events;
Final outcomes are of God and bad reasoning won't make good sense.
