THE ULTIMATE WOMAN OF PROVERBS 31
STORY: A woman of accomplishment and wisdom is praised for clean-living and loving God.

One hand held the spindle firm—upright,
As thread drawn out by the other one
Worked a steady circular motion,
‘Til the whirling and spinning was done.
Creating fiber from flax and wool
Busied hands, filled space, enhanced the feel
Of string slipping thru thick fingertips,
With a skillful winding of the reel.
Hovering over the weaving loom,
Resembling doves floating in the air;
Slim fingers on graceful hands fluttered
And fussed over a pattern with care.
Moving slowly, from top to bottom
Interlacing strands caused cloth to be;
A woman-made fabric that she will
Sew into clothes for her family.
Just working with her hands can please her—
She’s a good woman, mother and wife
Burning candles late into the night—
Her dedication shows all her life.
This godly model of perfection
Speaks with wisdom and teaches kindness;
Her least important things must be age
And appearance—they're not shared with us.
This biblical character’s praise poem
Illustrates a woman’s ideal goal
To symbolize a soundness of mind—
Healthiness of body—wholeness of soul.
It made no difference what she did,
Her efforts were always sublime;
The best message of her story is…
She always made—good use of her time.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. PROVERBS 31:30 KJV
