Easter
PALM SUNDAY
A Poem About
How  The  Lily Among Thorns
compares   believers   to  lilies
and   non-believers  to  thorns.
It's  taken for granted  that  the
Song of Solomon  is  a  sacred
marriage song  between Christ
and his church.
SONG OF SOLOMON 2:1 I Am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. KJV

THE LILY AMONG THORNS
To Mary Jeffries

Quiet fills the dark of night
So I close my eyes and dream;
Soon I'm deep in reverie
It's sensation is supreme.
Anything can stir my thoughts
Like a soft fragrant flower;
Remembered words, a melody,
A clock chiming out the hour.
Dreams are sleeping visions
Of precious moments in time;
Worthy of a king's ransom,
They're grand treasures they're all mine.
Once dreamed of a lily field
Waving at me from afar;
Soon I touched a gorgeous bloom,
I noticed it had a scar.
Then I saw a prickly crown
Like one my savior had worn;
That dream unveiled the meaning
Of the lily among thorns.
