TEARY EYED SOUL to Gene Trulock It's recorded He's a firstborn That grew quietly like others; In a small town asking questions, Pleasing God, learning from brothers. He was living a peaceful life Nobody mentioned Him much; Receiving wisdom and blessings, Being influenced by God's touch. Then His cousin baptised Him, Readied Him for anything; A gentle dove came from above And angels began to sing. Backed-up by the Holy Spirit He fasted, was tempted, He prayed; Somewhere in God's wilderness some Forty days and nights unafraid.
