HIS RESCUE MISSION
to Dr. James Webb
There’s gain in knowing God better,
There’s comfort in loving God more;
There’s strength in praising God often,
These are things most of us search for.
Many want something for nothing,
Many want something never had;
Many want something powerful,
Not bittersweet that’s tinged with sad.
The tests that change how you reach goals,
The trials that change how you see;
The tribulations that change hearts,
With God in charge, will set you free.
One could read the Holy Bible,
One could remember a scripture;
One could recite word for word, but
It’s those trials, that make one pure.
The greatest gift you can receive,
Is one God expects you to claim;
You have heard it called salvation,
It’s free to take, in Jesus name.
Salvation roots new beginnings,
Comforts and strengthens everyone.
Salvation is God’s greatest gift--
I call it His rescue mission.
