Deep inside the green forest
In a cottage near a brook
Lives a fluffy-tailed rabbit
I found in a picture book.
This bunny is the artist
That paints Easter eggs in spring—
That's famous for paintings of
The cross, lilies and a king.
A bright red barret teeters
Between two-long, fluffy ears;
The brush swirling on white eggs
Has painted favorites for years.
That thin, clear, oval palette
With the thumb hole in one end
Has been here for centuries—
It belonged to an old friend.
Four colors from God's rainbow
Can make any tint or shade
That's red, yellow, blue or green
In every Easter Parade.
