Happy Easter! TEARS IN A BOTTLE COLLECTION
Caryl Ramsdale, American Poet
When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold your son! JOHN 19:26 KJV
BEHOLD THY MOTHER
To Howie Skidmore

He carried the title of Son
Because, he belonged to someone.
They said,
"As You pay for this crime,
Behold thy mother, one last time."
Mother and Son's eyes touched briefly,
Their last moments shared 'neath a tree;
He on His cross, she on her knee,
Together they claimed victory.
Nothing bonds like son and mother—
They find strength in one another;
It's a mystery solved by none—
Their close kinship can't be undone.
Mother and Son's eyes touched briefly,
Their last moments shared 'neath a tree;
He on His cross, she on her knee,
Together they shared victory.
He hung on the cross looking down
At her kneeling there on the ground;
Head bowed—crying softly—she prayed;
Saddened—faithfully—they obeyed.
