| And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honor; for the LORD shall sell Sis'-e-ra into the hand of a woman. And Deb'-o-rah arose, and went with Bar'-ak to Ke'-desh. JUDGES 4:9 JKV | ||||||||||||||||||
CLAIM THE VICTORY to Jeannie Hults Nine hundred iron chariots The cruel King Jabin called his own; Fearful people cried twenty years, God help us,they'd whimper and moan. In tall mountains 'neath a palm tree Sat Deborah the prophetess; As a woman judge she'd hear and Solve people problems with finesse. Strong faith, obedience and trust Caused her to be larger than life; The Lord saw her as a warrior, This heroine was someone's wife. Deborah rose to leadership when God sent His fight back command; Ten thousand men gathered to win, Heard her new voice throughout the land. So men that were not fighting men-- Called to arms--fought the kings trained men; Barak led them into battle, God handed Israel the win. They threw off the yoke of bondage And all the people were set free; When the Lord cleared the way and let A woman claim the victory. © Copyright 1999-2007 Caryl Ramsdale. All rights reserved. |
