BORN TO BE to Larry Skidmore
Three wise men came out of the east, Trailing one star traveling slow; They came upon a sacred place, That gave off a heavenly glow. Three kings searching for another, Whose birth would be marked by this star; The babe would be called King of Kings, Electrified, they'd journeyed far. Three Magi with powers of their own, Felt the newborn's holy power; Worshiping there at His small feet, They praised the new king found that hour. Three men received three lifetime gifts, That day as they shared their treasure; The Lord's power surrounded them, All three were blessed beyond measure. Four kings gave gifts to each other, Gold, frankincense and myrrh from three; Love, joy, and happiness came from, One infant who was born to be. |
