BLESS MY HEARTACHE
to Mable [Mabel] Rosella Plantz Skidmore Slothower

Hear me singing, praising Your name,
When I'm troubled I call You here.
You bring me peace deep in my heart,
I feel at ease when You are near.
Lord: I've come to this quiet place
'Cause I need to be close to You.
Father: I have something to say,
My heart has been broken in two.
Everything I thought important
Means nothing to me anymore.
My young sons are men in harms way—
They've gone off to fight in the war.
These sons are favorite grandsons
That give and take love from our hearts.
I praise Your name for their gift of life,
Keep them safe while we are apart.
Please guard, protect and watch over
These boys for my families sake.
Lord: I've come to ask a favor,
Be merciful, bless my heartache.
