BASKETS OF PRAYERS

Grandma believed in faith healings of,
Emotions, hearts, bodies, souls, and minds;
Gingerly she placed prayers in baskets,
Saying, "God's gentle, loving, and kind."
I'm putting my prayers in these baskets,
Just like grandma put some there for me;
Filling them up with special requests,
For everyone in my family.
Today I know the secret of prayer,
So I fill these baskets one by one;
I found out each is answered in time,
Patience taught me waiting can be fun.
I'm putting my prayers in these baskets,

For everyone in my family.
I've asked for the desires of your heart,
But the Lord has His desires too;
I'll help by praying this century,
And leave the next one up to you two.
