| Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, MATTHEW 20:18 KJV | |||||||||||||||
AS THIRTEEN to Scott Casey Before Jesus reached Jerusalem, He stopped with His disciples to talk— Of His own death by crucifixion, Then thirteen continued their long walk. Soon their mother and Zebedee’s sons Came to Jesus with a great request; Jesus asked her wants—the sons stood by— He must grant her sons the very best. To promise her sons left and right seats In His kingdom with Him in between; God chooses who sits in prepared seats, For now to us, they remain unseen. The other disciples were outraged, Jesus gave them reasons to ponder Use of power and authority, Reminding them what He must endure. As they left Jericho, two blind men Sitting beside the road cried loudly; A big crowd tried to quiet the two, But the two yelled louder for mercy. The desire of their hearts was to see, And Jesus understood their distress— He touched them, gave them the gift of sight, They leaped for joy filled with happiness. The two that were blind followed Jesus And both saw everything to be seen— They were there when Jesus preached the Word, Made miracles, and walked as thirteen.
