about:
JOHN THE BAPIST

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
MARK 1:9 KJV
The footprints he left when he walked
Were the footprints of a great man;
All the words he spoke when he talked
Were the words of a preacher man.
His coat was made of camel's hair,
A thick, leather belt cinched his waist.
He ate locusts and wild honey
And prayed for God's favor and grace.
His was the deep, rich voice they heard
Crying out in the wilderness.
They say he baptized multitudes,
Gave them new life, they'd been blessed.
His message was fearless and bold
God sent him to prepare the way.
He never made a miracle
But many believed anyway.
And there in the River Jordan
Stood a preacher man and God's Son;
"Listen," John the Baptist shouted,
"I'm honored to baptize this One!"
